My Background

I am very passionate about the Info sec field, So I started learning in Dec 2020. I explored this field. As everyone in info-sec has a goal to be an OSCP certified I also made my goal to be OSCP certified. So I started Preparation, Then I thought before OSCP I should do CEH but I heard it totally is mcq’s based not hands-on so, One day I was reading some articles so read a article written by Lily Clark so I get motivated to do eJPT. It is the only red teaming exam which is MCQ’S based, and It is hands-on, We have to perform a real life Penetration Test do have that answers and that makes me feel great. So I started preparation. As I was a middle class boy, Thought came into my mind that I can’t even pay the exam fee. So I stopped preparing. But then I thought at least I will learn something so I continued my preparation. I do even own a laptop so I borrowed one from a friend of mine. Then a person came to my life and given me a chance to do this certification. I will not disclose name of that person but She is like a blessing to me.

Exam Time:

I started my exam at Aug 15 12:00 AM, They provided me an VPN file and an Engagement letter. You have to read engagement letter twice and line by line trust me it will help you a lot during the whole exam phase. After the first 2 hours or so I did 13 questions and just 7 were remaining, But after then I was stuck for 17 hours and could not do a single question. That time I started panicking and doubting that I will pass or not. Then I took a break after 19 hours in the exam, took a long break for 6 hours or so then I came back and I answered the remaining question. On 16 Aug 7:00 PM I had answered 16 questions and I was pretty sure that I will pass the exam so I submitted the exam and passed it at score of 16/20.

My Tips:

Make good notes of the labs that you are doing.

Make a good grasp on Routing and Pivoting (Most Important)

Enumerate more, Because after good enumeration exploitation just take 10 to 15 minutes.

So this is my story how I became an eJPT certified without even having my own Laptop. So concluding on a quote,

“ When there is will, There always is a way”
